FACILITIES: The historic Summit County Courthouse was fully renovated in 1988. The Akron Law Library occupies the fourth floor of the Courthouse building. Comfortable chairs, tables are available throughout the library. Wireless access is available to subscribers in the library. The password must be checked out at the Circulation Desk.
The Akron Law Library is located on the fourth floor of the historic Summit County Courthouse. We are open Monday - Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Staff work remotely on Fridays. Please see Holiday Closings for special hours.
MISSION STATEMENT: The mission of the Akron Law Library is to provide its patrons with the best possible professional library services. The Akron Law Library will seek to efficiently and cost-effectively operate the law library for its patrons, providing facilities, staff, and access to current legal resources in all formats, thereby supporting and enhancing the practice of law.
